We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Neural Data Engineer with a background in Computer Science, Neuroscience, Engineering, Machine learning (or a similar field). This person will be based within the data science team and will work closely with our wider research and development team to build processing and analysis pipelines in Python and visualize and interpret large datasets using various signal processing and machine learning tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with a diverse team of data scientists, electrical engineers, and neuroscientists to analyze neural data and develop data analysis and machine learning pipelines.
- Build, implement, test, and streamline data analysis pipelines in Python.
- Document data processing pipelines and generate clear, reproducible analysis reports for internal stakeholders.
- Support structured, secure, and scalable storage of multimodal data
- Work closely alongside other data scientists and neuroscientists to gain insights into neural biomarkers of disease.
- Participate in regular meetings and discussions with the team to share progress and insights.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements and contribute to the brainstorming of new ideas and improvements.
Essential Skills:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- 1+ years’ industry experience as a software engineer or data scientist.
- Extremely proficient programming skills in Python.
- Demonstrated extensive experience working with Numpy, Scipy, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, and Tensorflow/Pytorch.
- Demonstrated experience working with and analysing raw electrophysiological signals.
